A writer is a person for whom writing is more difficult than it is
for other people.

I haven't published my young adult novel yet, but I know I'm one step closer to publication
because of Jen's insightful critique and commentary. She is very thorough and detailed, breaking down a work, sentence by
sentence, to make it the best it can be. In terms of writing for kids, she truly has a realistic, youthful perspective. Most
importantly, her commentary is fair but not harsh, and she won't just tell you what you're doing wrong - she'll give you ideas
on how to do it right.

has helped me with my first piece, which is as yet untitled.
When Jen sent me back some help on my piece, I read
it and was like, "Duh, why didn't I see that?" She is great at catching grammatical errors. I make tons of those,
and Jen can always help me through them. Jen gives VERY constructive criticisim. She doesn't make you feel like
an idiot for making a mistake, or not adding enough detail. She made me feel like she's made that mistake a million
times too, so don't worry. I've had the opportunity to help Jen on one of her pieces, and she takes advice just as well
as she gives it. She is such a joy to work with. We really had a great time throwing ideas off each other.
I would highly recomend Jennifer Mustoe as a friendly critic.
Jen has helped me tremendously with my writing projects.
My current novel, Burning Justice is nearing completion, thanks to her concise critiques of plot, content and grammar.
She's tough and kind at the same time, a rare find indeed. It's amazing how often she finds the little things that I've overlooked
a dozen times. She's definitely got a sharp eye.

Jen Mustoe has been irreplaceable. They say writers live a lonely existence. Not true. Jen is part of my
team. She takes a rough gem—I thought was a perfect diamond, and molds it to perfection. I wouldn’t know what
I’d do without her superb editing skills. Through her help, one of my articles won Honorable Mention in the Writer’s
Digest 72nd Annual Writing Competition. –Michael Thal, freelance writer, Los Angeles, CA. |
